Replacement Ultrasound Machine at LMH

Replacement of an ultrasound unit at LMH. The Diagnostic Imaging Department at LMH completes roughly 5000 ultrasounds per year. Our ultrasound units and sonographers support our Breast Imaging Program by completing roughly 300 ultrasound-guided biopsies yearly.

The department currently has 2 ultrasound units and one is at end of life. Over time medical equipment requires replacement and it is time to update this valuable piece of diagnostic equipment. 

Our highly trained sonographers use ultrasound equipment to perform exams to diagnose emergencies such as deep vein thrombosis and appendicitis, they monitor pregnancies to keep our obstetrical teams informed of important information for safe management, and they provide doctors with information for the diagnosis of a number of conditions and much more. It is with this equipment that they provide the excellent care that our patients are accustom to receiving.
