2023 Capital Projects
Capital projects the Foundation has identified for 2023 are a ‘Chemistry Analyzer for the Lab’ and ‘IV pumps for the entire Hospital’.
The chemistry analyzer is a large piece of lab equipment that measures certain concentrations of things in people’s blood. This includes potassium, magnesium, calcium, liver function and kidney function tests. These are very common lab tests and can be used for routine monitoring of our inpatients or to help diagnose and treat an emergency in our emergency department. This is a vital piece of lab equipment.
The IV pumps are an infusion pump (also known as an IV pump) is a medical device that delivers fluids, such as nutrients and medications, into a patient’s body in a controlled manner. These pumps can be used for all ages of patients and we even have ones specially designed to be used for our pediatric patients.
The cost for these projects is around $475,000.
The Foundation will also be supporting equipment for the Fall 2023 Radiothon. The goal will be $75,000.
